Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

Mixed Martial Arts, or MMA, is a combat sport that combines techniques from striking, grappling, and submission arts such as boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and more. We emphasize the study of range in our MMA classes by incorporating concepts from JKD/Kali.
MMA training focuses on real-world self-defense, physical fitness, and mental discipline, offering students the tools to defend themselves while improving strength, agility, and endurance. ​​At PCAA, we understand that MMA training for the public must be different from the professional sport of MMA. Our MMA classes teach practical skills in a safe and supportive environment. Our approach to MMA is based on Erik Poulson's CSW / MMA curriculum.
