Jeet Kune Do / Kali

Our JKD / Kali instructors are certified in JKD / Kali under Guro Dan Inosanto.  Participants in these classes learn a complete combat system that blends weapons, striking, grappling, and self-defense.

Jeet Kune Do (JKD), founded by Bruce Lee, means “The Way of the Intercepting Fist.” More than a martial art style, it is a philosophy of training that emphasizes efficiency, adaptability, and freedom. Rather than relying on rigid forms, JKD teaches students to respond naturally, using what works best in real situations. Its focus is on simplicity, directness, and intercepting an opponent’s attack before it lands. â€‹

Kali originates from the Philippines and is also know as Eskrima or Arnis.  What makes Kali unique is its emphasis on weapons, such as sticks, knives, or improvised tools. The idea is that weapons teach timing, range, and precision, which then carry over to empty-hand skills.
